Former head of sales at Attraction World Simon Garrido has joined Travelopia as head of trade partnerships

Garrido will manage trade sales for Travelopia’s tailor made brands Hayes & Jarvis, Citalia, Sovereign Luxury Travel and Austravel.

Garrido, who was previously head of trade sales at Monarch before its collapse, started his new role this week.

He has also held roles at Airtours, Global and Avis.

Garrido will work with Travelopia’s tailor made trade team and be responsible for leading the trade partnership strategy, focused around offering worldwide multi-centre holidays.

Travelopia announced a senior management last summer which saw the departure of Mathew Prior, managing director tailor-made and marine.

The business was sold to private equity owners KKR in 2017 for £325 million. It has 53 brands in its portfolio and carries around 800,000 customers a year.
