TourHound secures G Adventures as 40th operator on platform

Online touring and adventure aggregator TourHound has secured a 40th operator onto its B2C platform.

The agreement with the UK arm of G Adventures brings the number of searchable tours and holidays offered to more than 20,000.

TourHound was established six months ago and has swiftly attracted a strong number of both well-known and niche brands to its platform.

The G Adventures deal follows Advantage Travel Partnership agreeing an exclusive partnership for TourHound to provide a B2B aggregator solution at its conference in Miami last week.

The firm is now recruiting Advantage members to sign up to its white label version for their own websites.

TourHound was recently selected as new technology partner to the Association of Touring and Adventure Suppliers. A white label version of TourHound will feature on the new Atas website as a tool for agents.

Managing director Laurence Hicks said: “We have proved a need for such a platform in what is becoming a crowded market place and we have seen how other industries have benefitted from a strong aggregator who can help consumers quickly source and compare product.

“The escorted touring and adventure sector is rapidly growing in popularity with more operators introducing escorted touring product into their portfolios as they see the value this sector brings to their businesses.”

TourHound aggregates tour content, pricing and availability from its tour operating partners using live API feeds and enables users of its website to interrogate using personally selected criteria, comparing one tour against another. Once a tour is selected, the website connects the consumer directly with their selected operator.
