Travelsphere and Just You boss Adam Kemp joins Atas board

The Association of Touring and Adventure Suppliers has announced a new board member: Adam Kemp, Travelsphere and Just You managing director.

He has more than 20 years of experience in travel, including three at the helm of the G Touring sister brands.

Kemp joins the other board members, including Atas director Claire Brighton, to help the association’s mission to promote touring and adventure holidays to agents across the UK.

Kemp said: “I am delighted and honoured to be joining the Atas board. As managing director of Travelsphere and Just You, I place great value on our long-standing relationship with Atas.

“The industry insight it provides, alongside the support it offers agents in promoting the touring and adventure sector, plays a vital role in the continued success of our brands.”

Kemp added Atas “provides an exceptional platform to showcase the benefits of touring”, pointing to the many relationships the company has made through the association’s events.

Brighton commented: “I’m excited to welcome Adam to the board – he brings a great deal of experience and expertise with him.

“With his support, and the rest of our board, we can help Atas to continue growing – and to help its members and our travel agents to make the most of the lucrative touring and adventure sector.”

Niel Alobaidi, chief executive of Newmarket Holidays, is chair of the Association of Touring & Adventure Suppliers (Atas) while Zina Bencheikh, EMEA managing director at Intrepid Travel, is deputy chair.

Other board members alongside Alobaidi, Kemp and Brighton are: Simon Applebaum (Gold Medal), Kelly Jackson (TTC Tour Brands), Stuart Milan (Riviera Travel), Stuart Parish (Jacobs Media), Iain Powell (Hurtigruten UK) and Brian Young, G Adventures.

Alobaidi added: “I’m delighted to welcome Adam to the Atas board. He brings strong commercial and leadership experience from across the travel sector, including roles at Audley Travel, Mail Newspapers, and now as managing director of Travelsphere and Just You.

“Adam’s understanding of both the touring product and the broader commercial landscape will be a valuable addition to the board, as we continue our work to support and grow the touring and adventure sector.”
