Travelpack has taken 18 agents on a National Geographic Lindblad Expeditions fam as part of its drive to become the UK’s leading trade seller for cruise and expedition sailings.
The operator Travelpack, and its dedicated cruise division Onboard with Travelpack, partnered with the cruise line to take top UK travel agents to explore Scotland’s Wild Isles on an eight-day voyage on National Geographic Endurance.
They were hosted by Travelpack’s head of marketing, Joely Charlotte Garland; director of cruise, Emma Sanger-Horwell; and Scotland business development manager, Michele Lister.
Sailing from Edinburgh to Dublin, the group explored the rugged coastlines of the Isle of Skye by Zodiac and Viking heritage in the Shetlands and Orkneys – and saw puffin colonies on Northern Ireland’s Rathlin Island.
Two of the agents won their places after attending every single session of the recent Onboard with Travelpack webinar series, and were selected in a random prize draw.
Sanger-Horwell said: “This incredible partnership with Lindblad Expeditions is a true representation of Onboard with Travelpack’s commitment to becoming the UK’s leading trade seller for cruise and expedition cruises.
“Expedition cruising is a phenomenal, bucket-list sector of the market, but to sell it with confidence, agents need to feel it, see it, and understand the nuances of the onboard experience.
“By investing in our agent partners through world-class fam trips like this, we are giving them the exact tools and first-hand knowledge they need to confidently convert those high-value bookings.”
Travelpack has also announced the winner of another major agent incentive: a luxury river cruise fam trip, setting sail in June with Riverside Cruises on the Riverside Mozart.
The winner was drawn from the agents who attended the entirety of the latest Onboard with Travelpack webinar series.
