Travel Counsellors has achieved a King’s Enterprise Award for innovation - the fourth time the homeworking agency group has been recognised.
This year’s innovation award honours the continued evolution of the company’s business model and its commitment to innovating with purpose.
Travel Counsellors is one of 185 organisations nationally to be recognised in 2026.
This marks the fourth time the company has received the honour and the second time in this category, having previously won the Queen’s Award for Innovation in 2003, and for International Trade in 2014 and 2020.
The company has grown its international footprint in recent years and now supports a global community of more than 4,000 travel business owners across seven countries, including the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands, Belgium, South Africa, the UAE and North America following the recent acquisition of TTAND in Canada.
Global chief executive Steve Byrne said: “We are incredibly proud to receive a King’s Award For Enterprise for the fourth time.
“Being recognised for innovation is especially meaningful, because it reflects how our model has evolved as we create ways for travel entrepreneurs to build businesses that truly work for them, including how they can work together to enhance their expertise and offering to customers, supported with the freedom, flexibility and guidance they need to succeed.”
He added: “What sets our community apart is the care and human connection they bring to every customer relationship.
“Those values guide how we continue to shape the model and the technology that supports it, and it’s this combination of a high‑tech, high‑touch approach that helps our Travel Counsellors tell powerful stories, inspire deeper connections and build lasting customer loyalty.
“Ultimately, this award belongs to our global community. Their dedication, passion and entrepreneurial spirit are what make Travel Counsellors a truly special to be, and I’m deeply grateful for the role each individual plays in our continued success.”
