G Touring confirms redundancies due to Middle East war

G Touring has confirmed it is making redundancies as part of a streamlining of the business in response to the war in the Middle East.

The company oversees UK touring brands Travelsphere and Just You and is based in Market Harborough in Leicestershire. G Touring is the touring division of a group of companies, which include G Adventures and TruTravels.

No staff within the trade sales team are affected by the move, the company said.

In a statement, it confirmed: “In order to respond to the current travel landscape, we are streamlining certain areas of our operations.

“While these transitions are difficult, they are essential steps to strengthen our resilience and ensure we are fully prepared to lead the way as global demand continues to shift."

But it added: “Agents and trade partners continue to play a key role in our business, and our trade sales team remains unaffected by these changes.”

The company did not reveal how many jobs were likely to be affected by the streamlining process.
