Shane Lewis-Riley to leave Titan Travel

Titan Travel trade distribution director Shane Lewis-Riley is to leave the escorted tour operator.

Lewis-Riley announced his departure in a LinkedIn post and said he was “looking forward to an incredibly exciting new challenge”.

Senior sales manager Andrea Jones has been named interim head of trade sales following his departure.

Lewis-Riley joined the Saga Group tour operator in October 2024 in the newly created role of trade distribution director, moving from Virgin Voyages where he served as vice-president of international sales.

He previously worked as director of trade engagement for P&O Cruises and held sales roles with brands including Princess Cruises, Virgin Holidays and STA Travel.

He said on LinkedIn: “After an incredible 18 months, the time has come for me to move on from Titan Travel.

“I’m hugely grateful for the experiences, opportunities, and support I’ve had during my time here. It’s been a privilege to work alongside such a talented team and valued trade partners.

“The Titan trade team is in a strong position and well set for continued growth. I’m delighted that Andrea Jones will be stepping into the leadership role, I can’t think of anyone better to take the team forward.”

He added: “A sincere thank you to all of our trade partners who have supported both me personally and Titan Travel. The team remains fully committed to supporting you and building on the strong foundations in place.

“As for me, I look forward to an incredibly exciting new challenge.”

A spokesperson for Titan said: “We’re delighted to announce that Andrea Jones is stepping into the role of interim head of trade dales at Titan Travel. Andrea will lead our trade sales team, ensuring our travel agent partners continue to be fully supported.

“With extensive experience across the travel industry and strong trade relationships, Andrea is ideally placed to take on this role and continue growing Titan as the UK’s leading escorted tours brand.”

The spokesperson added: “We’d like to thank Shane for his contribution to Titan Travel, particularly his work in further strengthening our relationships with travel agent partners, and we wish him well for the future.”

During Lewis-Riley’s tenure at Titan, the operator expanded its trade presence with the appointments of Erin Taylor and Tricia Doe at the start of this year, taking its trade team to eight.

Titan also joined the trade engagement working group of the Association of Touring & Adventure Suppliers, an initiative aimed at supporting travel agents through tailored events and networking.
