The Advantage Travel Partnership has struck agreements with expense management platform Rydoo, AI and data products platform Domo and the University of Edinburgh’s Traveltech Innovation Hub.
The partnership said Rydoo would give agents “real-time visibility into traveller activity and spend”, adding it would also reduce manual tasks and overheads for finance teams.
Domo, which promises to give agents a real-time view of their data, is expected to help agencies “modernise operations, improve productivity and make faster, more informed decisions”.
The agreement with the Traveltech Innovation Hub, based at the University of Edinburgh’s Futures Institute, has been described as enabling agencies to contribute to and benefit from “cutting-edge research”.
It will also allow them to “participate in collaborative innovation programmes and explore new applications of AI and data-driven solutions across the travel lifecycle”, Advantage said.
Andrea Caulfield-Smith, managing director of Global Business Travel at the Advantage Travel Partnership, said the Rydoo partnership would help “solve a common pain point for both travellers and their employers”.
“Integrated travel and expense is now an expectation. With an intuitive, scalable and easy-to-deploy solution like Rydoo, our members will be able to improve the customer experience, reduce friction during travel and open a new, high-impact channel for engagement and ancillaries,” she said.
She added the Domo agreement would help members to “drive efficiency” across their businesses.
“By combining powerful business intelligence with intelligent workflow automation, we are helping our members reduce manual workload, minimise errors and equip their teams with the insights needed to make smarter, faster decisions,” she said.
Stephen Baxendale, technology partnerships manager at the Advantage Travel Partnership, welcomed the agreement with the Traveltech Innovation Hub.
He said: “This collaboration gives our members direct access to one of the UK’s most exciting innovation ecosystems, enabling them to engage with emerging technologies, contribute to industry-wide challenges and accelerate their own transformation agendas.”
