Intrepid Travel co-founder and MD to share the stage at IWTTF

Intrepid Travel’s co-founder and managing director for the EMEA region will talk together at the International Women in Travel and Tourism Forum (IWTTF) in June.

Darrell Wade will join Zina Bencheikh on stage in London as part of a ‘big conversation’ on inclusive leadership, moderated by IWTTF founder and managing director Alessandra Alonso.

IWTTF 2024 will take place at Google’s offices on June 27 and will be preceded by the IWTTF Awards, which celebrate the travel industry’s leading advocates and changemakers in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), at Expedia’s headquarters on June 26.

Alonso said: “Zina and the team at Intrepid have been with us since the beginning and have been an integral part of our mission and growth, so we are excited to welcome Darrell and Zina to the stage together for the first time.

“They have so much value to add to this important conversation about inclusive leadership and I have no doubt it will be one of the major highlights of the day.”

Bencheikh said: “I am delighted Darrell can join us at IWTTF this year. He is an incredible leader for our business and very supportive of me personally in my role, and speaks with integrity, authority and candour about his journey as an inclusive leader.”

Wade added said: “I have enjoyed watching IWTTF grow from afar and am so pleased to join in person this year.

“DEI is central to our whole ethos at Intrepid, from our teams – with some incredible women from a range of backgrounds in leadership roles across the business – to our product that includes women-only tours and local projects that foster deep connections with the communities we visit.”

Intrepid Travel is the founding sponsor of IWTTF 2024.
