Celebrity Cruises has partnered up with acclaimed television series The Wine Show to introduce wine-inspired experiences on and off their ships.

The plans were unveiled at a wine tasting event at the Covent Garden Hotel in London on Wednesday November 2.

Celebrity Cruise customers can now drink from the new wine list as well as take part in vineyard shore excursions, on board interactive tasting sessions and live events with wine experts and presenters from the show Joe Fattorini and Amelia Singer.

The Wine Show premiered on ITV in 2016 and sees Joe and Amelia, plus British actors Matthew Rhys and Matthew Goode, travel to find the world’s best wine and the stories behind them.

Jo Rzymowska, managing director Celebrity Cruises UK and Ireland said: “Since The Wine Show premiered this summer, its combination of beautifully-shot footage and fascinating wine insights soon established it as one of the most inspiring programmes on our screens.

“We know our guests share our passion for food and wine so we’re extremely excited about how our new partnership will enhance our guests’ relationship with the destinations they visit.

“We look forward to welcoming Joe and Amelia on board over the coming year and helping our wine enthusiasts and budding oenophiles tap into the exceptional knowledge that The Wine Show will add to our existing wine programme.”

Wine expert, Amelia Singer will be on board Celebrity Eclipse on the two-night ‘Taste of Modern Luxury’ sailing from May 19 until May in 2017 hosting talks and demonstrations as it travels from Southampton to Le Havre.

She will then be joined by Joe on more Celebrity sailings in the autumn.

Ross Westgate, executive producer of The Wine Show and chief executive of Infinity Creative Media said: ‘’Since it’s UK premiere on ITV, The Wine Show has enabled viewers across the world, from the Americas to Australia, to enjoy an informative, visually entertaining and humorous journey into the world of wine.

“With their focus on quality, service and exceptional experience, it’s a journey that we are delighted to be able share with Celebrity Cruises and its guests.”

The excursion destinations are yet to be revealed but speaking at the event on November 2, Joe Fattorini hinted they could be near to Rome and Venice, similar to places visited during filming of the show.
