The Truly Independent Professional Travel Organisation (Tipto) has enjoyed a record start to its 17th year, with 450 agents attending nine events.
Tipto runs training events and roadshows for its supplier members to meet and support travel agents nationwide.
Tipto’s first quarter, from September to November, included its new ‘Supershow’ and ‘Face2 Face’ days as well as traditional roadshows.
On average each event has been attended by 48 agents – the highest level of agent attendance since 2012.
Feedback surveys from agents to the organisation showed 100% of respondents rated the events as excellent or good and 100% of agents found the information they received from suppliers as excellent or good.
The first ‘supershow’ was rated excellent or good by 80% of those who responded to Tipto’s survey.
Tipto chairman Zena Calderbank said: “We’ve had an exceptional start to our 17th year and we’re delighted to have hit record attendance figures.
“It is always our aim to evolve the Tipto programme and the feedback reinforces this and makes us all the more determined to keep up the good work.”
