Four major airlines have offered flight crew the option of changing routes if they are worried about catching the Zika virus.

United Airlines is allowing flight attendants and pilots to be reassigned to avoid countries with reported cases of the mosquito-borne virus, according to Reuters.

Delta Air Lines has also let flight crew switch since January 17 while Lufthansa and Air France have said they have offered crew members with any concerns the chance to change trips.

Lufthansa and Delta said that only a few crew members had switched routes because of fears over Zika.

Airlines and tour operators are offering pregnant women and in some cases all passengers refunds or the option of amending their booking.
