The first TV advertising campaign to be run by online travel agent On the Beach is to break on Boxing Day.
The company, one of the top advertisers on Google, is expected to handle more than one million passengers in 2014.
As a result, On the Beach has decided to join the competitive post–Christmas TV advertising space to further raise brand awareness and build a more personal relationship with customers.
The ‘Totally beachin holidays’ campaign, filmed in Corralejo, Fuerteventura, communicates a focus on beach holidays and highlights the choice services provided by the online expert.
The advert will be broadcast across the Midlands region on ITV and Channel 4.
The campaign will also be featured in local print press and digital displays and be supported by an online and offline PR campaign.
Chief marketing officer Alistair Daly said: “On the Beach has seen great growth online, however we know that 50% of customers begin their booking journey offline.
“The aim of the campaign is to increase awareness of On the Beach during this busy booking period and position ourselves as a very credible alternative to high street travel agents.
“We offer a huge product range and our research shows that customers can save on average, £190pp by booking online.”
