Trade hotel booking platform Teldar Travel is opening a UK office as part of its expansion.
Edwin Wilkinson will take leadership of the growth in the UK as director of business development following ten years at Hotelbeds.
Wilkinson said: “I am delighted to take up this rare opportunity to deliver a business that is in tune with its clients, customer service focused and offers the largest and the most diverse product range available on the market.
“Service is at the core of our value proposition and we plan to work closely with our clients on an individual bases by adapting to their requirements and offering the attention they deserve.”
Teldar Travel provides agents with a direct connection to the Accor Group’s inventory and it offers more than one million accommodation options including apartments, holiday rentals, homes, villas and camping. Agents can also access room stock from chain and independent hotels ranging from two- to five-star.
The platform additionally offers add-ons such as activities, transfers and car rental.
Teldar Travel already serves 20,000 leisure travel businesses in Spain, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy, the Republic of Ireland, Portugal, Luxembourg and Israel.
Michael Benmergui, who leads the group’s international expansion, said: “This is the logical next step in Teldar Travel’s strategy to bring our high standards of service and tailor-made product to all European travel professionals.”
