EasyJet Holidays appoints more former Tui staff to bolster digital team

EasyJet Holidays has recruited two former Tui employees to its digital team.

Ian Chambers has been appointed head of digital. He previously worked for Monarch Airlines as chief commercial officer before moving to Tui as head of media and digital marketing.

Most recently he worked for property management group, FirstPort.

Tom Cockeram joins the business later this month from Tui where he worked in paid search. He has been appointed digital acquisition manager.

Four of easyJet Holidays’ eight-strong board have previously worked for Tui. They are commercial director Alex Loftus, strategy and sourcing director Paul Bixby, communications director Fiona Jennings and finance director Michelle Heywood.

Former Tui managing director for group product and purchasing Garry Wilson was made chief executive of last November.

A spokeswoman for the company said a number of new recruits had joined the digital team from a cross-section of other businesses including easyJet and John Lewis.

Wilson said: “We’re getting ready to re-launch our incredibly exciting new in-house business easyJet Holidays and we’re continually building and growing our team with the right people.

“We’re welcoming various team members in all areas of our new business from inside easyJet and from across the travel industry and beyond.”
