Travel outsider takes up tech role at Gray Dawes Group

A tech expert from outside the travel industry has been recruited as chief technology officer at Gray Dawes Group.

The travel management company has named Steve Fisher in the role.

He has 18 years’ experience working in senior positions at tech companies including Zoopla Property Group, The Property Software Group, Guardian News & Media’s Property Services Division and Convio.

Fisher takes responsibility for driving technological innovation across the TMC.

CEO Suzanne Horner said: “The appointment of a chief technology officer is a vital one for the future of our business.

“We took our time recruiting for this role to ensure we secured the highest possible calibre of candidate and Steve is just that.”

She added: “The experience that Steve has built outside of the travel industry is hugely exciting for all of us at Gray Dawes.

“I am thrilled to start working with Steve and seeing how his fresh perspective and dynamism will further enhance the work already being undertaken by our in-house tech team.”

Fisher added: “II fully intend on further enhancing the organisation’s technology leadership credentials.

“I am really looking forward to applying my experience in software strategy, product development and agile delivery to the very forefront of the travel industry.”
