Olympic athletes to appear at Haven parks

Haven has sealed a deal with the British Olympic Association to become an official partner of Team GB, ahead of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

The partnership will see Team GB Olympians appearing in Haven holiday parks around the UK, talking part in games, sports and activities with families.

Haven guests will be able to meet Team GB athletes and the team mascot, Pride the Lion.

Jane Bentall, Haven managing director, described it as a “momentous partnership” for the Bourne Leisure-owned company.

“We are very proud to be supporting the incredible talent of Team GB, one of the UK’s most loved and trusted brands,” she said.

“We will strive to bring Team GB and their athletes closer to our holidaymakers.”

Bill Sweeney, chief executive of the British Olympic Association, added: “We feel sure there is real overlap between loyal Haven customers and the Team GB fanbase.

“We’re excited by the creative discussions we’ve already had about how Team GB can promote activity and fun across all of Haven’s parks, including the inclusion of Olympic sports and initiatives linked to Team GB on holiday parks.”

Haven already offers outdoor and indoor sports, including swimming, cycling, sailing, tennis and archery.

It will work with Team GB to build on its existing offer in the run-up to Tokyo 2020, encouraging guests to take part in a range of onsite games.
