Club Med reveals details of revamped ski resort

Details of Club Med’s revamped Alpe d’Huez ski property in the French Alps emerged today ahead of the all-inclusive operator putting its winter 2019-20 programme on sale tomorrow (Wednesday).

The 4-Trident ski-in, ski-out resort has been completely rebuilt with four clubs for children a new spa with indoor and outdoor pools, new restaurant and ‘gourmet lounge’ offering all day dining as well as a wine cellar and a lounge bar.

Other new features include a family fun area and an adults-only wellness room with an area for yoga and meditation.

The property, which will open for the 2019-20 season on December 15, will offer direct access to the Alpe D’Huez Grand Domaine 250km of slopes with lift passes included in Club Med packages.

The property now comes with a family-fun area including new playgrounds perfect for kids, as well as walls to draw on, modular furniture, board games and climbing walls. The resort also offers an adults-only wellness room complete

The company will also open bookings for its first 5-T resort in the Caribbean, the Club Med Miches Playa Esmeralda on a 93-acre site on the north-west coast of the Dominican Republic.

An early booking discount of 15% is being offered across 28 resorts for sales made by Saturday (January 26), with children under four staying for free in all ski resorts and under six in sun resorts.
