Former premiership footballer Rio Ferdinand has kicked off a new partnership between ITC Travel Group and Football Escapes.
The partners are offering family holidays in destinations including Dubai, Portugal, Cyprus, the Maldives and Beijing, which feature football coaching for children.
Former Manchester United star Ferdinand posted a video of himself on Twitter announcing the tie-up.
He said: “[I am] delighted to announce our partnership with ITC Travel who will now be able to provide you with bespoke packages for your next Football Escapes holiday.”
Football Escapes specialises in coaching courses for children aged five to 15, led by former professional footballers and Uefa-licensed coaches.
Other former professionals on the coaching team include Eidur Gudjohnsen, Dimitar Berbatov and Teddy Sheringham.
ITC Travel Group will arrange family holidays built around the coaching courses, which include two-hour daily sessions over a week, held at luxury hotels and resorts.
