UK and Ireland inbound operator AC Group goes global

Inbound operator AC Group is expanding globally by adding trips to France, Benelux and North America.

The countries are tipped to generate around £11 million in sales in the next 12 months, with New York, Paris and Miami expected to be among the most popular destinations.

Further expansion is expected in the coming year with increased demand for travel from growing markets such as Israel, the Far East and South East Asia.

The expanded portfolio follows the group opening offices in Paris and New York last year, which served to bring French and American travellers into the UK and Ireland, and will be available across all three brands within the group – group travel provider AC Tours, bespoke luxury firm AC Luxe and B2B specialist AC Online.

The company acquired MW Tours and French Travel Partners in summer 2017 and works with trade partners such as Travel Counsellors.

Joint CEO Rob Russell said: “After almost 20 years of providing top customer service to agents and wholesalers bringing visitors to the UK and Ireland, we’re excited to expand our portfolio.

“From speaking with our clients, we know there’s a need for a high-quality service aimed at groups in our new destinations – from school trips and sports teams, through to blue-chip business incentive trips – and we’re thrilled to now offer extensive experiences into France and North America.”

Fellow joint CEO Malcolm Lindop added: “The programming of new destinations allows us to strengthen our relationships with existing partners, as well as reach new clientele.

“We are delighted to be working with organisations such as Travel Counsellors and Opportunity Travel to offer increasingly global group and bespoke travel solutions.

“Having experts in-market for both France and North America helps to ensure the new destinations will live up to the service and experience levels our travel industry partners expect from AC Group.”
