New Zealand specialist Silver Fern Holidays has appointed its first sales manager to help grow its trade sales.
Lindi Sprenger will be out on the road visiting travel agents to help managing director John Lightwood reach more partners.
She will be working with agents in the south of England, with the brief of building new partnerships and increasing trade sales.
Lightwood said: “I have been talking to agents all year, visiting as many as I can and attending conferences, because I know we can add value to each other’s businesses.
“Agents don’t sell New Zealand every day, and that makes it harder to do it with confidence, so we need to spend more time with agents, and deliver more training.
“I’m therefore delighted to welcome Lindi Sprenger into a new role, so that we can work more closely with agents.
“Lindi has all the experience and in-depth knowledge of our destination that we could ask for and I know she’ll be a great asset to Silver Fern Holidays as we look to grow our trade sales.”
Sprenger joins Silver Fern Holidays from Discover the World, where she was the operator’s product manager for New Zealand, Australia and South Pacific.
She is an accredited Tourism New Zealand Gold Kiwi Specialist, and has lived and worked in New Zealand.
She said: “I am delighted about this exciting new opportunity to work with John and the Silver Fern Holidays team.
“My remit is to focus on building agency partnerships and increasing sales from key agents in the south of England, especially independents.
“My love affair with New Zealand started in the 1990s, and I’ve never found a destination to surpass it. I have a passion for the country, and its incredible people, and consider it my spiritual home. I look forward to using all my contacts within the industry to help agents become equally passionate about New Zealand.”
