Clia focuses on families for sixth week of #ChooseCruise campaign

Clia has revealed that the sixth week of its now-global #ChooseCruise campaign is dedicated to activities families can do on a sailing.

The aim of the campaign is to highlight the different onboard experiences on a holiday at sea or a river ship.

Andy Harmer, Clia UK & Ireland director, drew attention to how ships now have activities for the whole family.

He said: “Cabins come with sofa bed or bunks that drop down from the ceiling to cater for groups of up to four or five, while more spacious alternatives are inter-connecting rooms or suites.

“Flexible dining and buffet restaurants are a key ingredient for families, who are free to choose their own routine.

“In addition to swimming pools, game areas and kids’ clubs found on the majority of ships, larger vessels have surfing simulators, ice-skating rinks to dodgem cars and virtual-reality rides.”
