Ruth Hilton to leave Trafalgar and Insight Vacations

Trafalgar and Insight Vacations’ sales and business development director Ruth Hilton is to leave the business this week.

The Travel Corporation-owned brands confirmed the former head of sales and business development at Gold Medal will be leaving “to seek opportunities that are based further North, where she lives with her family”.

She joined London-based TTC in October 2016 to lead a sales and marketing team of six.

Hilton’s previous roles have included spells with Affinion International Travel, Co-operative Travel, XLLG and MyTravel.

Hilton said: “I’ve had a great time working with Trafalgar, Costsaver and more recently Insight Vacations and Luxury Gold – they are fantastic brands and it’s a great team. But now I feel ready for a new challenge, ideally closer to home, to balance with the needs of my family.”

Gavin Tollman, chief executive of Trafalgar and Costsaver, said: “I’d like to personally thank Ruth for her commitment and accomplishments during her time at Trafalgar and Costsaver, continuing to build our award-winning brands in the UK market. We wish her all the best as she moves on to other opportunities.”

Ulla Hefel Böhler, chief executive of Insight Vacations and Luxury Gold, added: “We’re very grateful for Ruth’s enthusiasm, input and hard work since she took on the Insight Vacations and Luxury Gold brands in the UK and wish her every continued success.”

The brands’ search for a replacement is underway. In the meantime, the brands will be looked after by TTC UK managing director Donavan Elliot and the established Trafalgar and Insight Vacations sales teams to ensure a smooth service to our valued trade partners.
