Specialist Leisure Group chief executive Richard Calvert is appealing for sponsorship for a Tough Mudder charity challenge he is participating in next month.

He and his nine-strong executive team are to take part in the Tough Mudder North West event in Cheshire on September 8 in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society.

Calvert has set a target of raising £2,500 for the charity and had received donations totalling £710 via a JustGiving page.

He said: “Here at Specialist Leisure Group, the Alzheimer’s Society is our chosen charity. I have “persuaded” my executive team to go the extra mile (10 actually) through mud, water, pain  and obstacles to raise as much money as possible for this amazing charity.

“The Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever and needs your help.”
