Funway Holidays adds extra flight allocations to Florida

Funway Holidays has secured additional flight allocations in response to soaring demand for travel to the Florida theme park capital of Orlando next year.

The early booking trend is echoed by Google trends research, which reports that web searches for Orlando holidays 2019 are up by 14.8% over the last ten weeks compared to the same time period last year for 2018 Orlando holidays searches.

The research also identifies a geographical split of searches, suggesting that Scottish consumers are the most likely to be looking for Orlando holidays next summer, with Scotland indexing for 50% of the search traffic for this term, whereas Wales accounts for 30% and England 20%.

In response, the tailor-made, long haul specialist has extended its operations from UK regional airports, including Glasgow and Manchester.

Marketing manager Sam Robinson said: “We have been selling Orlando for over 25 years and it’s still our number one best selling destination in the USA.

“In particular, we have witnessed a spike in forward bookings and have responded by securing further summer 2019 flights with Thomas Cook Airlines.

“Guests booking early can take advantage of our pricing reductions. There are a limited number available so they are on a first come, first served basis.”

Lead-in prices for Orlando start at £629 per person for seven nights based on two adults staying in a private holiday home in June 2019, including return direct flights from Glasgow with Thomas Cook Airlines.
