Flybe reveals new routes in summer schedule

New routes from Doncaster Sheffield airport to Belfast and Cardiff to Venice lead Flybe’s summer schedule.

The year-round Belfast service from the Yorkshire airport start on June 15 with five flights a week.

Venice is being served twice a week from Wales on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Additional weekend flights have been introduced on the airline’s routes from Heathrow to Aberdeen and Edinburgh which started a year ago.

The summer also sees a Birmingham-Hamburg route operating up to six times a week and a Leeds Bradford-Dusseldorf service running in the summer for the first time.

The regional carrier’s summer schedule covers 171 routes with up to 3,201 flights a week running until October 27.

The airline has refreshed its on board Café Flybe menu for summer with the addition of Itsu satay rice noodles, a new range of snack boxes, including a vegan option, and a selection of regional gins.

Chief commercial officer Roy Kinnear said: “We are pleased to be starting two new routes as part of our 2018 summer schedule that includes Venice – a brand new destination for Flybe. We have also improved frequency on a number of key routes to give greater flexibility and choice to passengers from their local regional airport.

“We are passionate about connecting people and communities and offering the widest choice of destinations possible with time saving, punctual and affordable travel.”
