Nats to pay £28.5m dividend

National Air Traffic Services is to pay an interim dividend of £28.5 million today.

The payment brings dividends paid by Nats in its current financial year to £57 million.

The dividend is provided by the company’s economically regulated provider of en route air traffic services, Nats En Route.

The interim dividend covers the period of the year ending March 31, 2018.

Nats  handled 2.45 million flights in the year to March 2017, covering the UK and eastern North Atlantic from centres at Swanwick in Hampshire and Prestwick, Ayrshire.

The company also provides air traffic services at 14 UK airports, Gibraltar airport and a number of airports in Spain in a joint venture with Ferrovial.

Nats made a pre-tax profit of £125.5 million in the 12 months to March.
