Saga Holidays has appointed Iain Powell as head of trade sales for Saga Holidays and Saga Cruises.
Powell will join Saga on the January 15 from Carnival UK where he was a business manager within the National Travel Partnerships team, managing the regional sales team.
He has previously held roles at Tui and Virgin Holidays.
Managing director for Saga Holidays Maria Whiteman said: “Iain has a wealth of experience that will be a real asset to our business and complement the skills and experience we have in our successful trade sales team. We have ambitious plans for growth across our travel divisions and trade sales form an integral part of these future plans.”
Powell said: “I’m thrilled to be joining Saga.
“Saga is a highly regarded and recognised brand known for quality and service and I’m delighted to be joining at such an exciting time in its trade sales journey.”
The appointment follows the recent announcement that Deborah Aylward would leave her role at Saga to pursue other opportunities.
