Palladium to open new luxury development in Mexico

Palladium Hotel Group is to open a new luxury development to the northeast of Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula.

To open in autumn 2018, the project will include a five-star family-friendly property, the Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres Resort & Spa, and the adults-only TRS Coral Hotel, accompanied by a ‘Village’ comprising of a variety of restaurants, bars, kids clubs, and amphitheatre.

Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres Resort & Spa will have 673 rooms and “all of the five star luxury services and facilities found at the other Grand Palladium properties”. It will feature a system of canals so guests can travel through the resort by boat and each room will have a balcony or terrace overlooking the resort and sea. Some rooms will direct access ‘swim-up’ pools or hydro massage hot tubs on their private balconies.

The resort will host events, conferences and weddings in its 16,000sq-ft convention centre which can hold 1,380 people and also have nine restaurants, four swimming pools as well as snorkelling, diving, yoga and pilates activities and a 51,020sq-ft Zentropia Palladium Spa & Wellness centre.

The 473-room TRS Coral Hotel aims to provide “Infinite Indulgence” to its guests. It has a “discreet service tunnel network” out of sight of guests designed to “ensure impeccable aesthetics and serenity”.

Guests will have access to the facilities and services at Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres Resort & Spa and the Village.

Costa Mujeres is located in the most northern point of Cancun, 18 miles from Cancun International Airport and 20 minutes from the city. Palladium Hotel Group says the development will follow its ethos of sustainable tourism.
