‘Love it or hate it’ Marmite to be offered to customers by Ocean Florida

Independent specialist Ocean Florida will offer all its customers a free jar of Marmite this August after it was revealed to be among the most confiscated item at London city airports.

Although famously known to be not everyone’s taste, the yeast-based spread was the airport’s most confiscated brand, just ahead of chocolate spread Nutella.

London City has been offering customer free smaller 70g jars of Marmite, under the 100ml limit for hand luggage items,

But Ocean Florida has decided to save its customers the hassle of taking their favourite savoury spread away with them.

Harry Hastings, co-chief executive of Ocean Holidays, said: “We were stunned to hear how many jars of Marmite are confiscated by UK airport security, so we thought offering our villa customers a jar when they check into our welcome centre in Kissimmee would take some of the panic away for dedicated Marmite fans.

“All our villa customers have a welcome pack on arrival in their holiday home, and for August, whilst stocks last, this will include Marmite. They’ll be able to relax with a cup of English breakfast tea and Marmite on toast for breakfast, just as they would at home.”
