Olympic champion named as brand ambassador for The Travel Franchise

Double Olympic gold medalist Daley Thompson has been unveiled as  ‘brand ambassador’ for The Travel Franchise and sister home-working travel agency Not Just Travel.

Hays Travel founder John Hays is also set to join the business, which holds more than 150 franchises, as an advisory board director.

Paul Harrison, co-founder of the Bournemouth-based company – was established six years ago – said: “As brand ambassador, Daley Thomson will help represent the values of the business, but also help the growing team of franchisees across the UK grow their business, as a public face to the business, but more importantly for us, he’ll act as a mentor and a coach to our team.”

Fellow co-founder Steve Witt added: “As an instantly recognisable face and brand, Daley represents the best in his field and everything that it takes to be a success while enjoying the journey. What better way to instantly represent our business.”

Thompson has built his own growing gym business, Daley Fitness, and supports charities like Barnardo’s.

He aims to add his own entrepreneurial flair to the travel industry.

Thompson said:  “I’m excited to be working on such a project – it’s a new venture for me but I’m ready for the challenge.

“The real people behind the business, the passion they put in the work they do and the belief in getting real results is what drew me to The Travel Franchise.

“Everyone here has already shown great vision, dedication and inspiration for the business, and I look forward to working with every single one, helping to drive forward their winning attitude, positivity and enthusiasm.”
