Malaysia Airlines hires new marketing manager and sales support for agents

Malaysia Airlines has appointed Richard De Villa as marketing manager to look after the UK and Europe.

De Villa joins from the Philippines Department of Tourism in London, where he spent over 10 years promoting the destination in Northern and Southern Europe.

He started on April 18 alongside new sales support agent Lilian Rotta, who has taken up one of five new roles created by the airline in sales and pricing as part of its expansion plans.

Rotta moves from LATAM, where she worked for more than two years as sales support. She will be providing technical support to travel agencies in the UK and Europe.

Both will be reporting to Adrian Keating, Malaysia Airlines’ regional manager for UK, Europe and USA.

Keating said: “These appointments are another positive sign of the Malaysia Airlines restructuring as we strive for profitability ahead of our plan for listing in 2019. We are excited and look forward to the amazing success they can bring to our airline.”
