A luxury hotel in Tenerife says it has seen a 50% uplift in inquiries from the UK after an episode of The Only Way is Essex filmed there was aired.
The episode filmed at Roca Nivaria Gran Hotel in Costa Adeje went out on Sunday, March 5, and featured Chloe Simms, Georgia Kousoulou, Megan McKenna, Tommy Mallet and Pete Wicks.
Daniel Adrián, director of parent company Adrián Hoteles, said: “We have experienced a 50% uplift of UK visits to the website since the transmission of the TOWIE episode – and we expect this traffic to remain like this for a couple of more weeks.”
It is the second time TOWIE has been filmed at the hotel, which is available through the trade, following a 2015 episode after which the number of visits to its website adrianhoteles.com from the UK doubled over the course of the following month.
The company said it was difficult to judge whether this extra interest led to increased bookings.
