Thomas Cook doubles educational trips for independent agents

The number of educational trips being offered by Thomas Cook to independent agents is being doubled, with 100 agents expected to participate in 2017.

The long-haul destinations of Florida and Mauritius are included as well as Croatia, Turkey, Majorca, Tenerife, Santorini and Cape Verde.

Agents can increase their chances of winning a place with every booking with the operator.

Thomas Cook is also continuing of its ‘Live Lounge’ VIP concert incentive for the fifth year.

Agents can enter a prize draw for tickets every time they book a Thomas Cook branded holiday until February 28. Previous artists have included Beyoncé and Ellie Goulding.

Agents have to input all bookings to the “Trade Events and Incentives” section on Thomas Cook World to be entered.

In addition, agent will have the chance to win two return flights to Las Vegas for holidays booked until the end of next month.

All bookings made with value added service upgrades on the Thomas Cook Trade website – the independent agent booking portal introduced last December – qualify if they are emailed to

Agent partners have received details of educationals and incentives in a 24-page peaks guide.

Head of trade partnerships, commercial sales and relations, Audrey Brooks-Wiggins, said: “We recognise how important it is for as many of our independent agent partners as possible to experience our destinations and the quality of our exclusive hotel brands.

“By increasing our educational trips by 100% this year we want agents to feel supported through peaks and beyond.”
