Kuoni has added two expert-led photography tours in Japan and Russia for next year.
The new ‘one off’ tours, Images of Japan and Images of Russia, will be led by award winning photographer Neil Buchan-Grant.
Images of Japan will explore Tokyo, Kyoto, the Japanese Alps and the history of Hiroshima, while the Images of Russia trip will focus on the dramatic and colourful architecture from Moscow to St Petersburg.
Extra photographic opportunities have been added, such as an exclusive photo session with a Geisha and in Russia, a visit to the Mikhailovsky Theatre.
Photographers will be given tips on how to capture a wide range of subjects under Buchan-Grant’s expert eye. Tours are suitable for all abilities from beginners to experienced photographers.
Other tour highlights in Japan include visiting the lesser known mountain towns of Takayama and Hakone and a stay in a Japanese-style hotel with rooftop onsen for a taste of local life.
In Russia there is a chance to capture the Red Square at dusk on film and see some of Moscow’s station buildings and famous landmarks in St Petersburg such as the Winter Palace and Church of Spilled Blood.
The small group tours will have no more than 18 clients on each.
Images of Japan costs from £5,986 and departs on May 16, 2019, based on British Airways flights from London Heathrow. Images of Russia is priced from £2,595, and departs on October 11, 2019, based on BA flights from Heathrow.
