Specialist and niche travel options are continuing to perform strongly for Vertical Travel Group despite ongoing global uncertainty.
Latest figures from across the group highlight a series of substantial bookings, underlining the strength and resilience of the travel agent model, according to the company.
Recent sales include three ski bookings worth £101,000, £68,000 and £52,000 by one agent, alongside a £100,000 cruise, a £70,000 river cruise and a £48,000 booking to the Maldives.
A company statement said: “Despite ongoing global uncertainty, travel agents across Vertical Travel Group continue to secure strong sales, with demand for specialist travel showing no signs of slowing down.”
Specialist and niche products “continue to perform strongly, with customers increasingly choosing to book through trusted agents for expert advice, reassurance and personal support.
“At the same time, the group continues to grow its agent network, with more travel professionals joining in search of the backing, support and commercial opportunities that come with being part of an established business.”
Managing director Yvonne Leslie said: "Customers are placing real value on expertise, service and trust, particularly when making larger travel purchases.
“We are continuing to see strong average booking values, demand for niche and specialist travel, and more agents joining the group, which is a very positive sign for the business and the wider agent community."
