MMGY Global launches Europe data and research division

Specialist marketing agency MMGY Global has created a European data and research division and opened a new London office.

MMGY Travel Intelligence Europe will be led by managing director Cees Bosselaar (pictured), who has formerly held roles with Phocuswright, Uniworld Luxury River Cruises and the Netherlands Board of Tourism and Conventions.

Bosselaar will oversee client and custom research projects and the launch of a syndicated Portrait of European Travellers study.

MMGY Global has run a similar operation in North America for the past three decades and has expanded its UK presence in recent years with brands in its portfolio including Digital Spring, Grifco and Hills Balfour.

Chris Davidson, global head of MMGY Travel Intelligence, said: “The expansion of MMGY Travel Intelligence into Europe is a critical milestone in our goal of establishing research and insight as the foundation of our strategy for our entire global portfolio of clients.

“We are incredibly lucky to have someone with Cees’ experience and enthusiasm leading this exciting new growth initiative for our organisation.”

Bosselaar said: “It is very exciting to be returning to Europe after having lived in the US for over 30 years, and I am eager to build on the success of MMGY Travel Intelligence by expanding its well-respected brand of research, data and travel industry insight throughout the European continent.”
