Silver Travel Awards 2022 winners revealed

Silver Travel Advisor recognised travel companies, cruise lines and tour operators at its annual awards ceremony in London on October 20.

The ceremony, held at The Wallace Collection, was the company’s first in-person awards event since 2019 after it was called off in 2021 and held virtually in 2020 because of Covid.

The awards recognise brands, companies and operators that provide holidays and services for mature travellers.

Of the 22 awards, 19 of them were voted for by members of the public, while the three Silver-i Awards were voted for by a panel of travel industry experts.

The winners were:

• Best Worldwide Tour Operator – Serenity Holidays
• Best Worldwide Luxury Tour Operator – Sovereign Luxury Travel
• Best Adventure or Activity Company – Inghams
• Best Solo Travel Company – Just You
• Best UK Breaks Operator – Warner Leisure Hotels
• Best City or Cultural Break Provider – Riviera Travel
• Best Self-catering Travel Company – Sykes Holiday Cottages
• Best Rail Holiday Company – Great Rail Journeys
• Best Accessible Travel Provider – Enable Holidays
• Best Car Rental Company – Avis Budget Group
• Best UK Destination – London
• Best European Destination (exc UK) – Italy
• Best Worldwide Destination (exc UK & Europe) – USA
• The Silver-i Digital Award – Viking
• The Silver-i Breakthrough Award – Titan Travel
• The Silver-i Footprint Award – Aurora Expeditions
