Elite Travel Group appoints Caroline Page as business development manager

Elite Travel Group has appointed Caroline Page as its business development manager.

Page joined the company in September and has been tasked with driving its ambitious growth plans to double its membership within the next five years.

Page began her career aged 16 as an agent with Midlands Co-op Travel and went on to manage a Tui store. She then took on a business development manager role at Red Sea Holidays.

She has recently returned from maternity leave, prior to which she held the role of business development manager at Cosmos Tours and Avalon Waterways.

“I’m three weeks into the job but I already knew the Elite Team as I have worked with them in a supplier capacity so it isn’t like starting from scratch,” she told Travel Weekly at the Elite conference in Córdoba, Spain.

“In the coming months I want to spend more time with the members, find out how they work and get to know all of their businesses.

“The key to this role is about really understanding each of the members, all of whom are so different as they are independent.

“I need to be a go between for the consortium members and the suppliers and make sure they are all happy.

“I also want to go out and recruit new members so we can grow the consortium and hit Elite’s targets of 100 members in the next five years.”

Chairman Robert Lines added: “It’s great to have Caroline in the team as she will be the one to go to independent agencies around the country and talk to them about their consortia needs and, if they are not happy where they are then she can talk to them about joining us.”
