Diversity Travel aims to double staff numbers with recruitment drive

Specialist TMC Diversity Travel has begun its “biggest ever” recruitment drive, with the aim of bosting its staff numbers by more than 50% by the end of the year.

The Manchester-based travel company claimed it experienced a flight booking increase of more than 200% from the end of May compared to January, 2022, with travel to and within the UK increasing by 127%, and travel to and within the US increasing by 196%.

Diversity currently employs 160 people to provide travel management services to the charity, not-for-profit and academic sectors, but aims to double that number by the end of 2022 to meet the increased demand.

Customer service director Stu Booy said: “Demand for our services is off the scale at the moment, and beyond any of our expectations.

“Visits to our website are up by almost 40% and new clients are coming on board all the time.

“We have built our reputation by providing the best level of specialist service to all of our clients and feel a heightened duty of care as businesses send employees back on business trips again following so much disruption.

“This means we need a bigger team to continue to provide the same high level of service to everyone.”
