Covid-19 travel test site opened at London Victoria

Cignpost ExpressTest has opened a screening site at Victoria train station in central London.

The facility is aimed at travellers and other symptomless members of the public who do not require NHS emergency testing.

PCR fit to fly tests cost from £80; antigen lateral flow fit to fly tests from £35. The fastest service delivers PCR test results within 90 minutes.

While the UK government has said it will remove the need for vaccinated travellers arriving into the UK to take a day two test after 4am on February 11, many overseas destinations still require a negative test to enter. Free NHS rapid tests cannot be used for international travel.

For now, Cignpost is also offering antigen lateral flow day 2 tests for arrivals into the UK, from £35.

Founder Nick Markham said: “This new site at Victoria in London is an exciting addition to our services based across the UK.

“We’re pleased to bring government approved Covid-19 screening services to the local community; whether for personal or business travel, we deliver gold-standard PCR and lateral flow tests at reasonable cost.”

Victoria station has direct train links with Gatwick airport, with fast services reaching Gatwick in less than 35 minutes.

Other ExpressTest sites across include Heathrow, Gatwick, and Reading.
