MSC Cruises unveils winter Red Sea itinerary

MSC Cruises has unveiled the details of winter 2022-2023 sailings in the Red Sea with MSC Splendida, featuring 33 shore excursions.

The cruises have seen the addition of the Egyptian capital, Cairo, and three embarkation ports in Sokhna Port and Safaga, also in Egypt, plus Jeddah in Saudi Arabia.

MSC Splendida’s seven-night sailings call at Sokhna Port; Safaga for trips to Hurghada and Luxor; Egypt; Aqaba for Petra, Jordan; Jeddah for AlUla, Saudi Arabia; and Yanbu, Saudi Arabia.

An extended 13-hour stay in Sokhna Port allows for trips to the Great Pyramid of Giza, and there are 13 shore excursions available from Safaga.

Eight excursion options are available from Aqaba, including the chance to visit Petra, the ancient city and Unesco World Heritage site in the middle of the Jordanian desert.

Three excursions can be booked from Jeddah, including a cultural city tour, the archaeological site of Hegra, and the ancient desert city of AlUla.

Passengers can choose from four shore excursions from Yanbu, including the chance to snorkel at Iona Coral Reef or relax on Baridi Island.
