Fred Olsen Cruise Lines offers guests paperwork service

Fred Olsen Cruise Lines will check through passengers’ paperwork three weeks prior to departure for an extra cost.

The line said its new Travel Ready Service allows passengers to “cruise safe in the knowledge that all paperwork and tests will be sorted” before they travel.

Fred Olsen will collect Passenger Locator Forms, NHS vaccination letters and Covid-19 tests will be ordered on behalf of the passengers as part of the service. Prices start from £49 per person.

However, travel agents cannot earn commission by selling the service which is being run in-house by the line.

Clare Ward, director of product and customer service at Fred Olsen Cruise Lines, said: “We want our guests to look forward to their cruise from the moment they make their booking.

“With our Travel Ready Service they can feel reassured that, should any requirements change in the days leading up to, during or after their cruise, we will have it covered.”

She added: “Guests can let us know in the three weeks before they sail if they wish to add this to their booking, so we can make sure the guidance is as up-to-date as possible.”

In addition to the Travel Ready Service, passengers can take advantage of “risk-free deposits” on all new bookings for sailings in 2022.

This means they can move their deposit to any other cruise within 12 months of their original sailing, with no transfer fees.

Fred Olsen Cruise Lines must be informed of the change before the final balance has been paid.
