Eamonn Ferrin to leave Norwegian Cruise Line

Norwegian Cruise Line vice-president of international sales Eamonn Ferrin has announced he will leave the line on Friday (December 30).

Ferrin, who joined NCL in early 2019 and was promoted to a global role to lead international sales at the line in 2021, confirmed his departure on LinkedIn on Thursday evening as he paid tribute to colleagues, NCL crew and agent partners.

He thanked NCL president Harry Sommer for appointing him managing director and vice-president for the UK and Ireland four years ago.

He added: “I am so proud of the hard work, commitment, fortitude and passion played by all NCL and Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings team mates, both shoreside, and on our ships, to get us back operating again, and indeed, reaching a new milestone of record bookings in November 2022.

“I pass on my heartfelt thanks to all my wonderful colleagues in the UK, Middle East, Africa, Brazil, Latin America, India, Europe, Australia and Asia and Pacific teams and, of course, my USA and Canadian colleagues in all areas for welcoming me as part of the NCL and NCLH team and working so hard with me and each other along the way.”

Paying tribute to the support of travel agents globally, he said: “You are a huge part of our success past, present and future. The future of the cruise industry is very bright indeed, of that, I have no doubt.”

Confirming that Ferrin had left the line, a NCL spokesperson said: “We are grateful for his contributions and wish him all the best in his future endeavours.

“We remain highly committed to our trade partners globally and will announce his replacement soon.”
