More regional flights to Knock added by Ryanair

Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands and Manchester are all gaining improved frequencies by Ryanair to Knock in the west of Ireland.

The increased number of flights is part of an expanded summer 2023 schedule from Ireland West airport.

The number of flights is being raised by 15% to more than 120 a week across 16 routes including a new service to Lanzarote.

The Irish no-frills carrier hopes to drive inbound tourism via the County Mayo airport which it has been serving for 37 years.

Fares start at €29.99 one-way for travel from between April 1 and the end of October in a flash sale until midnight on December 10.

Airport managing director Joe Gilmore said: “2023 is shaping up to be the busiest year on record at Ireland West airport and with flights to 16 different destinations with Ryanair next year, there is huge choice available for our customers.

“Ryanair’s continued growth is a huge vote of confidence in the airport and the region, and we’d like to thank them for their continued support and commitment to the airport.”
