Lata surveys agents and offers case of wine in prize draw

The Latin American Travel Association is surveying travel agents about their perceptions of selling the region, ahead of featuring its first travel agent programme at next month’s Lata Expo trade event.

Lata represents companies in the UK and Europe with outbound programmes to Latin America and has members in Europe and Latin America including agents, tour operators, airlines, DMCs, hoteliers and tourist boards.

The findings of the survey will help it shape its future activity and focuses, with a case of Latin American wine worth more than £100 up for grabs in a prize draw for those completing it by midnight on May 29.

Colin Stewart, Lata chairman, said: “We’re delighted to be welcoming agents at Lata Expo this year for our first dedicated agent event.

“We know that agents will play a vital part in the tourism recovery to Latin America and we hope that Lata Expo will provide the essential tools, contacts and information needed to help support agents and the wider travel trade.”

Lata Expo will take place from June 13 to 15, with the dedicated agent programme beginning at 3pm on June 14.

The programme will provide agents interested in selling the region with key contacts, information and support, with a tailored session followed by an evening networking event.
