Jet2 and Jet2holidays boost Christmas markets capacity by 30%

Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks have raised capacity by 30% to offer more than 100,000 seats to Christmas markets for next winter.

Seven new routes will operate, including the first services from the new Jet2 base of Liverpool John Lennon airport.

New flights will run from Belfast International to Krakow, East Midlands-Vienna, Glasgow-Berlin, Glasgow-Vienna, Liverpool-Krakow, Liverpool-Prague and Manchester-Berlin.

The expansion over this winter sees 500 routes on sale overall across the Jet2network from 11 UK airports to seven cities – Berlin, Budapest, Cologne, Copenhagen, Krakow, Prague and Vienna.

Chief executive Steve Heapy said: “This announcement represents a significant expansion to our winter ’24/25 Christmas markets programme, with new routes and a new programme from Liverpool John Lennon airport all going sale, as well as additional capacity and season extensions.

“It also means we have reached a huge milestone, and we are delighted to say we now have over 500 routes on sale overall across our network.

“The expansion comes in direct response to the strong demand we are seeing from customers and independent travel agents for our Christmas markets programme, and it means we are giving holidaymakers exactly what they want – even more opportunity to enjoy the best festive experiences across Europe next winter.”
