Abta LifeLine seeks recruits for virtual London Marathon

Abta LifeLine has secured five places for the 2021 virtual London Marathon and is looking for recruits willing to raise a minimum of £500 for the TravelCares appeal launched in 2020 in association with Travel Weekly.

The event takes place on October 3, with 100,000 participants tasked with completing the 26.2 mile distance within 24 hours, wherever they are in the world.

Trudie Clements, LifeLine director, said: “We would love to hear from anyone interested in taking part in the virtual London Marathon and running for LifeLine’s TravelCares appeal.

“Although you won’t be running in London, you will be with 100,000 other virtual participants all supporting great causes. And you can do it your way – you can run, walk, wear a silly costume, whatever works for you.”

She added: “It is great that LifeLine can start to think about these types of fundraising activities again and begin to raise the vital funds we need to continue supporting our community.”
