Solmar Villas has launched new protection for customers that face disruption due to Covid-19.
The Travel Restrictions Guarantee (TRG) offers reassurance that customers can move dates, or receive a voucher or refund if travel is restricted by government travel advice.
Solmar Villas, which offers properties in more than 33 destinations across Europe, says it wanted to give its clients confidence to book.
The TRG is automatically included in the website price when people are searching and can be removed before booking if they do not want to take advantage of the protection.
The firm hopes the offer will help unlock pent-up demand in 2021.
Julie Blake, managing director, said: “We continue to listen to our clients and the marketplace and the feedback we were getting was the need for additional protection to try to mitigate continually changing travel advice.
“The Travel Restrictions Guarantee will hopefully give holidaymakers that peace of mind, whilst also offering our suppliers some financial protection if things change that are out of their control.
“I think it will make a major difference to people currently not sure on whether to make that booking or not.”
Solmar Villas has just hit the milestone of 1,000 properties available on its website, an 83% increase during this year.
Blake added: “Covid-19 has been horrific for the travel industry, but we have worked really hard to try to find solutions to clients that have been affected, being one of the few companies to keep inbound calls open throughout the pandemic.
“We also spent a lot of time working with suppliers and this has really paid off, with 1,090 beautiful villas now in our portfolio – a massive 83% rise in properties.
“The vaccine will hopefully bring the travel sector back to life and villas, in particular, will be a very popular type of holiday as they offer that additional space and exclusivity.
“We’re seeing lots of activity on our website and we are expecting an influx of bookings from March next year.”
