NCL to showcase return to service with online docuseries

Norwegian Cruise Line is to broadcast an online docuseries charting its return to sailing.

EMBARK – The Series will begin with a focus on NCL’s onboard product, with two episodes about the line’s entertainment offering.

The first episode features the post-lockdown reunion of the cast of The Choir of Man, which was filmed at London’s Garrick Theatre.

Richard Ambrose, senior vice-president of entertainment and cruise programming, said: “Now more than ever, we are longing for connection. Entertainment unites us, allowing us to forget our worries, even if just for a short while.

“We have long been advocates for the entertainment community and are committed to providing high-calibre performances for our guests. While theatres are closed and gatherings are limited, we want to support our fellow performers while connecting with guests in a meaningful way.

“Through this exclusive offering, we showcase human resiliency and offer hope for a better tomorrow. In the end, we are in this together and that’s why we will all persevere.”

The first episode of EMBARK will be broadcast live on ncl.com/embark at 3am BST on Friday, November 20, and will then be available on demand.
